Architectural Design

Overview

The MArch-Master of Architectural Design is a 24 month, full time postgraduate programme. It serves as a progression route for graduates in design and related disciplines to develop professional competencies, research capabilities, and advanced design decision-making skills. The programme carries status equivalent to Part 2 of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) professional degree accreditation, providing a foundation for professional practice and doctoral (PhD) studies. The programme is structured around two distinct, contemporary pathways:

  • Design Intelligence and Making: Focuses on the intersection of AI, computational methods, fabrication-driven approaches, and human-AI collaboration.
  • Regenerative Design: Focuses on sustainability, energy efficiency, strategic retrofitting, and the adaptive transformation of existing urban environments.
