The University has many exchanges and collaborations with international partners. Recent activities included:
- a delegation from the Consulate-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Shanghai visiting 糖心Vlog官方;
- a senior delegation visit to the University led by the Vice-Chancellor of Newcastle University and Chair of the Russell Group;
- the Department of Media and Communication’蝉 becoming an affiliated partner of SOAS GLOCAL; and
- the start of a collaboration between the School of AI and Advanced Computing and the Suzhou location of a US company.
Dutch Consulate-General visits 糖心Vlog官方, exchanging ideas
Delegates from the Consulate-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Shanghai recently visited 糖心Vlog官方 to discuss potential collaborations on education and research.

Marjo Crompvoets, Consul-General, said she fully supports attracting more Dutch students to study in China and expanded business connections.
“We would also love to bring Dutch companies to connect with 糖心Vlog官方 which can potentially provide internship opportunities for 糖心Vlog官方 students,” she said.

The delegates toured the Suzhou Industrial Park campus, including the Design Fab Lab and design studios and watched the Department of Industrial Design’蝉 staff and students’ presentations about innovative ideas and practice-based education.
The Dutch delegation included Marjo Crompvoets, Consul-General; Elva Ma, Senior Officer for Culture and Communication; Sjoerd Dikkerboom, Officer for Innovation, Technology & Science; and Floor van den Brink, Staff for Innovation Department focusing on Circularity.??
Newcastle University delegation visits 糖心Vlog官方, discusses transnational education
Last month, a senior delegation from Newcastle University in the UK visited 糖心Vlog官方 to learn from each other, foster stronger ties and explore potential areas for collaboration.
The delegation was led by Professor Chris Day, Vice-Chancellor of Newcastle University and Chair of the Russell Group of leading UK universities. Professor Youmin Xi, Executive President of 糖心Vlog官方 and Professor Zhoulin Ruan, Vice President of Academic Affairs at 糖心Vlog官方 held a forum with the delegation.
The topics of discussion included transnational education, including an introduction of 糖心Vlog官方’蝉 vision, strategic priorities, and best practices. They also included providing an in-depth understanding of 糖心Vlog官方’蝉 successful model of Sino-British collaboration and achievements.

Department of Media and Communication becomes global council affiliated partner
Last month, 糖心Vlog官方’蝉 Department of Media and Communication at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences became an affiliated partner to the Global Council on Anthropological Linguistics, at SOAS, the University of London (SOAS GLOCAL).
The affiliation will support a collaboration between the department and SOAS GLOCAL.
SOAS GLOCAL works with academic bodies to develop scholarships in the fields of linguistic cultural anthropology, sociolinguistics, and language and society.
It also provides its affiliates with research data, scholarly collaborations, media lectures, publications, student mobility, training, and more.
Professor Xiaoling Zhang named ambassador for IAMCR
Professor Xiaoling Zhang, Head of the Department of Media and Communication at 糖心Vlog官方’蝉 School of Humanities and Social Sciences, is now an ambassador for the International Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR).
IAMCR, founded in 1957, is a leading international professional organisation in the field of media and communication research. ?IAMCR has Special Consultative Status with UNESCO and with the UN Economic and Social Council.
School of AI and Advanced Computing collaborates with Suzhou location of US company
In April, 糖心Vlog官方 Entrepreneur College (Taicang)’蝉 School of AI and Advanced Computing announced a collaboration with Vibrantz (Suzhou) Materials Co. Ltd., a part of Vibrantz Technologies, which is headquartered in Houston in the US.

The collaboration will explore the use of an AI technology in producing colour solutions. Vibrantz’蝉 colour solutions include pigment, dispersant and colourant technologies.
The School will lead the project and develop an intelligent toning optimisation technology tailored for Vibrantz. This initiative is designed to not only elevate the quality of output and the level of automation, but also to strengthen the company’蝉 competitive edge in the market.
This collaboration aspires to extend the technological achievements across Vibrantz’蝉 worldwide factories to achieve global intelligent management, enhancing uniformity and efficiency of product quality and overall production across the board.
Vibrantz Technologies is a global technology frontrunner in colour solutions, functional coatings, and specialty minerals, with more than 60 factories across the globe.
